Lyan Hummell, Esq., has established her extensive legal career firmly based upon the principles of diligence, compassion and zealous advocacy for clients.

Lyan’s career path to the legal profession commenced as a social work major at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro where she received Bachelor of Arts degree and graduated magna cum laude. While at the University of North Carolina, Lyan also attended the University of Strathclyde, Jordanhill, in Glasgow, Scotland to intensely study Britain’s social service delivery system for children involved in the court system. Utilizing the knowledge of domestic and international social services to children, Lyan then received her Juris Doctorate from Campbell Law School, where she then finalized her law school career in her home state of New Jersey at Rutgers Law School. After graduation from law school, Lyan immediately began practicing as a litigator in the private sector with an emphasis on family law. More than two decades later, Lyan continues to concentrate her legal knowledge on all issues relating to family law and civil litigation. As a first generation American born to Cuban parents, Lyan is proudly involved in the Hispanic community and an active member of the Hudson County Bar Association.
