Successful H-1B transfer of recently unemployed graphic designer
This is Song Law Firm, a lawyer specializing in H-1B. A graphic designer who recently lost his job due to financial difficulties came to Song Dong-ho General Law Firm to change his H-1B employer. In accordance with the regulations amended in January 2017, H-1B can maintain H-1B status by finding a new sponsor for a grace period of up to 60 days after termination of existing H-1B employment. Finding employers to sponsor is not easy as it gets harder. Fortunately, at the end of the grace period, I was able to find a new company and file an H-1B petition.
