The plaintiff, a woman in her 20’s, was working as a waiter when she was forced to withstand lewd comments from her co-workers. Suffering from constant unwanted sexual advances, and other unwanted verbal and physical contact, the plaintiff reported the incidents to her supervisor, who failed to take prompt or appropriate corrective action to ameliorate the hostile or abusive work environment. Plaintiff was terminated upon her refusal to be subject to unwanted sexual advances. A settlement was reached in the amount of $40,000 for the mental anguish, lost wages, and attorney fees.
