A large amount for treatment and hospital expenses
Song Law Firm had a client with a large number of predominantly medical and hospital related debts the client was left with after a personal injury accident. Our attorney successfully assisted the client file bankruptcy even though her income normally would have prevented her from discharging her debts in bankruptcy. In this case, her commission-based income would have resulted in a presumption of abuse. As such, the bankruptcy team recommended that the client take a specific course of action to qualify for the means test in order to file bankruptcy. The client’s bankruptcy was discharged, and the client had well over $350,000.00 in general unsecured debts completely discharged!
