Our firm recently secured a $70,000 settlement for a client injured in a lane-change collision in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Our client was driving northbound on Palisade Avenue in the right lane when another vehicle traveling in the left lane attempted to change lanes, striking our client’s car on the left side.
As a result of this collision, our client suffered multiple injuries, including neck pain with accompanying headaches, pain in the right shoulder and elbow, hip and knee pain, and lower back pain. These injuries led to several medical treatments, including surgery to repair a torn exterior extensor carpi radialis brevis tendon, as well as epidural and cervical epidural injections for pain management.
The at-fault driver’s insurance policy held a bodily injury limit of $25,000, which we secured in full for our client. In addition, we successfully pursued an additional $45,000 through her underinsured motorist (UIM) coverage, bringing the total compensation to $70,000.
